- The organizer commits to taking ecological and social responsibility.
- All required documents and proofs must be submitted completely.
- All sustainability measures must be planned, documented, and monitored.
Mandatory criteria (examples)
- The event must be largely barrier-free and accessible.
- Energy-efficient technology must be used wherever possible.
- Waste must be minimized and properly separated.
- Catering should include organic and/or regional food options.
- Giveaways should be avoided or must meet sustainable standards.
Optional criteria (point-based examples)
- CO2 compensation for event emissions.
- Use of digital materials instead of printed documents.
- Providing tap water in carafes instead of bottled water.
- Booking regional or socially responsible service providers.
- Integration of social aspects such as inclusion projects.
